LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

There’s something special about Lubbock’s historic Heart of Lubbock neighborhood, and I should know—I’ve been in love with this little corner of town since 2004!

What started with one rental home on 21st Street has grown into 11 homes on the same block! Over the years, I’ve watched this neighborhood grow and change, and I’ve loved being part of its story.

One of my favorite things about this area is its character. Beautiful historic bungalows, mature trees, friendly neighbors, and a laid-back atmosphere give it a charm you just don’t find in newer neighborhoods.

We’re just a short walk from Texas Tech University, with Jones AT&T Stadium, restaurants, shopping, and Broadway nightlife nearby. Covenant and UMC hospitals, downtown Lubbock, and the Depot District are just minutes away. Whether you’re here for a Red Raider game, graduation, visiting family, or exploring Lubbock, you’re right in the middle of it all!

I especially love that our guests can enjoy the excitement of everything Lubbock has to offer, then come home to a comfortable, welcoming neighborhood where life moves at a slightly slower pace.

After more than two decades on this block, I can truly say there’s nowhere else in Lubbock I’d rather have my little collection of homes.

Meet Rose! ❤️ In 1992, I moved to Venice Beach, CA, and my grandparents bought me this stove. When I moved to Lubbock 30 years ago, Rose came too. In 2017, I moved her into The Bung, unpacked my antiques, and The Bung’s personality came alive!

Welcome to your little slice of paradise!

We're so happy you're here! We want you to kick back, relax, and enjoy your stay. We just ask that you treat The Bung, our neighbors, and fellow guests with a little aloha spirit!

Please review these rules before booking. By making a reservation, you agree that everyone in your group will follow them during your stay.

CHECK-IN: After 3:00 PM

CHECKOUT: By 10:00 AM

OUR #1 RULE: Anything that begins with "Hey, y'all, watch this!" or "Hold my beer!" is probably NOT a good idea! 😂

1. Be a Good Neighbor!

The Bung is located behind The Copacabana, another vacation rental. You'll have private access to The Bung, while the tropical backyard, including The Cabana, is shared between both homes. Please be considerate of other guests and our wonderful neighbors.

2. Keep the Good Times at a Reasonable Volume!

We love a good time, but loud music, yelling, and excessive outdoor noise are not permitted, especially during evening and early morning hours.

3. No Wild Parties!

Loud house parties and unauthorized events are prohibited. Small, respectful gatherings for graduations, weddings, or family celebrations may be permitted with prior host approval, particularly when The Copacabana is booked together with The Bung.

4. Keep Your Feet on the Ground!

For everyone's safety, guests are not permitted on the roof.

5. Lock Up Before You Head Out!

Please lock all doors and windows whenever you leave and at checkout. We also recommend keeping valuables out of sight in your vehicle.

6. Treat Our Little Paradise with Love!

Please take care of the home, furniture, decorations, and amenities. Household items should remain on the property. Guests may be responsible for damage or missing items.

7. Appliances Are for Their Intended Use.

Please use all appliances and equipment safely and as intended.

8. No Smoking Indoors!

Smoking is permitted outside only. Please dispose of cigarette butts and ashes safely in the trash after they are completely extinguished. Never leave cigarette butts on the ground.

9. Four-Legged Friends Are Welcome! 🐾

We love our furry visitors! Please keep pets off beds and furniture, clean up after them, and dispose of pet waste before departure.

10. Only the 3 P's Go in the Toilet! 🚽

Pee, poop, and toilet paper! Please don't flush wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or anything else, even if labeled flushable. Guests may be responsible for plumbing repairs caused by improper flushing.

11. Let Us Know if Something Needs Attention!

If anything breaks, stops working, or needs attention, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help make things right.

12. Fresh & Cozy!

Fresh linens and towels are provided, but daily housekeeping is not included. For stays longer than one week, we'll arrange fresh bedding and towels.

13. Use What You Need!

We provide extra linens, blankets, pillows, and towels for your comfort. Please leave unused items as you found them. It helps us prepare efficiently for our next guests and cuts down on unnecessary laundry.

14. Leave the Beds for Us!

At checkout, please leave used beds unmade and place used towels in the shower. There's no need to strip the beds or wash the linens. Just leave used bedding and pillows on their respective sleeping surfaces so we know what needs laundering.

15. Dishes, Please!

Please wash, dry, and put away any dishes, glasses, or utensils you've used. Prefer not to wash dishes? You're welcome to bring disposable dinnerware!

16. Take Out the Trash!

Before checkout, please take your trash to the dumpster in the alley, just outside the gate. Extra trash bags are located at the bottom of the trash cans.

17. Leave It Nice for the Next Guests!

We don't expect you to deep-clean, but please leave The Bung reasonably tidy and in good condition.

18. No Illegal Activity.

Illegal substances and activities are strictly prohibited and may result in termination of the reservation in accordance with applicable laws and booking platform policies.

19. Weather Happens!

West Texas weather can be unpredictable! Weather-related cancellations and refunds are handled according to the cancellation policy applicable to your reservation.

20. Forgotten Something?

If you leave something behind, please contact us as soon as possible. If we locate it, we'll gladly help arrange its return. Guests are responsible for shipping costs.

21. Safety First!

Please use the property and its amenities responsibly. Guests are responsible for their own belongings and should report any safety concerns immediately.

22. No Subletting.

Guests may not sublease, transfer, or rent out The Bung to another party without prior written permission.
